These are just a few photos of a recent collage in progress which you may have seen on instagram. Most times the collages are inspired by a main element or piece, here it was a blue ice cap/mountain. The next step is just figuring out a color palette, in this case that blue color went well with pink and gold. From there I just browse, cutting out matching elements from books and old magazines until it all comes together - pretty much playing around until it looks good and feels right. I love playing with pattern, movement and shapes, inspired by nature, though the collages always turn out very abstract. 
Though I love creating these by hand, (it's very meditative), I think creating these digitally is the next step.
